The MWC was over a month ago and now still the companies that made major announcements have not yet released the products that they promised. HP was one among the companies to make little commitments so as to prevent the hype from setting in. Yet it managed to draw the attention of a lot of people with its top class products like Pre 3 and Veer. These are the smartphone range devices and they run on the PalmOS. The extinct Palm OS was revived by HP when it bought it to make changes and develop new systems using the once powerful Palm OS. The Pre 3 is quite a cute phone with all the necessary features for a smartphone and in fact has an overwhelming 1.4GHz processor. With the Palm OS, multitasking takes places smoothly and also helps these multiple open apps run smoothly. The redesigned Palm OS is called as the webOS and if HP manage to put up an App Store, then might be the next competitor to the Android and iOS. The sliding QWERTY keypad on the Pre 3 feels very comfortable to use and that is one of the reasons that this phone will find success. The HP Veer is the next in line and it is again a cute little phone that makes it mark with the webOS. The next device the HP showcased at the event was the TouchPad which again was running the webOS.
